Double-sided bandanas at a glance
Double-sided printing uses a special dye applied through screen printing that seeps into the cotton fibers and changes the color of the threads themselves. Because the color goes through the fabric rather than sitting on top, your design reads clearly on both sides. There are no stock blanks, either: the cotton is dyed from scratch to the Pantone color you choose, so the bandana itself is part of the design. Bandanas are dyed, printed, cut to a standard 22″ × 22″, and hand-stitched at the edges. The double-sided process runs at a 250-piece minimum per design; for smaller runs we offer single-sided bandanas: full-color dye sublimation from just 12, or screen printing from 25.

The double-sided process
How double-sided bandanas are made
After years of research and development, we developed a printing method built specifically for custom double-sided bandanas. Instead of laying ink on the surface, we apply a special dye through the screen-printing process that penetrates the cotton and changes the color of the threads.
The result is a design that appears on both sides of the bandana with a soft, natural texture — not the stiff, cracked feel you get from heavy surface prints. Once printed, the fabric is cut into 22″ × 22″ squares and the edges are hand-stitched for a clean, finished look.
It starts even before the print: the cotton itself is dyed to your chosen Pantone color first, then the design goes on. Nothing on a double-sided bandana comes off a shelf.

Double-sided ones don’t: every run starts as undyed cotton that we dye from scratch to the Pantone Solid Coated shade you choose — a brand color, a team color, the exact shade your artwork sits on. Any code in the book, at the same price as a popular pick.
Because it’s a dye we mix for your run, the bandana color counts as one of your design’s colors at setup, the same as each ink. On larger runs one design can go on several colors: two at 500 pieces, four at 1,000.
Your proof shows the dye before anything is run, and our proofing team confirms it against the Pantone chip — screen colors are approximations; the chip is the reference.

Does a custom bandana color cost extra?+
No. Every double-sided bandana is dyed to order, so a hand-picked Pantone costs the same as a popular shade. The bandana color does count as one of the design’s colors at setup — a one-ink design on a red bandana is a two-color job — and the instant price already includes that.
